I like to paint animal portraits in a realistic style.  Many hours go into creating a 3d appearance adding layer upon layer of pastel.
If your pet has passed away you can remember them through a painting that is as realistic as possible.
A smaller painting of an aperture size 12″ x 10″ will roughly take around 15 hours to complete.  This can vary with the different breeds of dogs.  For instance a curly haired breed may take longer.
