Commission a Painting
This is part of a duo painting and is of Tess they both live near Barnstaple and as a Dog Artist I took their reference photos. As we live in a village not far from Barnstaple it is not too far to travel for a visit. Photo referencing is the key element for creating a good likeness of your dog.
Buddy and Tess’s owners had been thinking about having a painting of their two dogs for a while. Sadly Tess has a few health problems, and they thought it would be a lovely idea to have some photos taken of them both.
Buddy was a true to form lively spaniel and was running around excitedly on the other hand Tess was more subdued. Both had their favourite toys they would pick up ready to greet anyone visiting.

I took separate photos which were easily put together into one for the referencing image. It was a typical cloudy day which threatened rain, however we went into the conservatory where the light was perfect. As conservatories have lots of glass they let in lots of light. So when it is a wet day this is a great option to take photographs. Of course if it is too cloudy then it may not be possible. Artificial light doesn’t portray the true soft colours of an animal’s coat.

I am currently posting the the UK counties only, simply to make my life less stressful. Occasionally I have shipped to the USA and other countries, however packages have been opened and they are never re-packaged as well.
